Greetings ladies, Our last few scripture writing themes have centered around hearing God and listening. But once you've done those two steps, the next step in the natural progression is to follow. Our theme for April is: Follow God. To follow is to go after a person or thing, or to pay close attention to something. I'm sure we've all played follow-the-leader as children. Everyone lines up and does exactly what the person at the head of the line does; even as adults, we're still following. We follow traffic signs and people on social media. We keep track of what's going on in the world by following the news. When you look up synonyms of the word 'follow,' you get some amazing examples: 'to chase,' 'pursue,' and 'shadow.' What great words to use to describe how we should follow the Lord. Isaiah tells us to seek the Lord while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6) and in the psalmist writes in chapter 119 verse 10: with my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! God IS the One to follow. He will never lead you astray. As you write these scriptures, meditate on them, use them as prayers, and ask yourself how you can apply them to your daily living. Blessings, Jamie
